Autumn is a pretty great time of year for an engagement shoot. Everywhere looks pretty. The light is often softer and more golden. The leaves are turning and there’s colour everywhere. It’s rarely too hot and if you’re lucky, it’s not too cold either. So when we stumbled on this location, we knew it would work perfectly for our shoot with Clare and Tom. As luck would have it, it just so happened to be near their house too!
Autumn engagement shoot
The setting was all we hoped it would be and a blanket of leaves lined the woodland path ways. We managed to avoid mud more or less entirely- but we weren’t so lucky when it came to rain! One moment there was beautiful, soft, autumn light, the next torrential rain! As a result, the session was cut a little shorter than usual and we didn’t get to explore this beautiful location as much as we’d like. We were still able to grab some great images with Clare & Tom though who were brilliant to work with. At one point a random dog even photobombed the session and brought us a rather lovely stick, so it wasn’t all bad.
We can’t wait to work with Clare & Tom again for their wedding next year! In the mean time, enjoy their engagement shoot images.
