As a pair of photographers based in Suffolk, we tend to be kept busy most of the year photographing weddings within our little Essex/Suffolk/Norfolk bubble. So when we had an email from the wonderful Katrina regarding a Lincolnshire wedding at the William Cecil that she was planning we were excited about the possibility of exploring new pastures!
We initially met Lucy and Mark for the first time around a month before their wedding. We were welcomed into their home prior to venturing off for their engagement shoot. We knew then that their wedding was going to be something special because they clearly have so much love for one another. It’s always a beautiful moment to see a couple so in love ahead of their wedding, when times are often stressful.
The day began much like any other, with us arriving with the Bride for the ladies preparations. Cool and calm would probably be the best way to describe it- a very laid back Lucy was even brave enough to iron her wedding dress just minutes before putting it on! That definitely takes nerves of steel.
What they, along with their planner Katrina Otter had managed to achieve with the venue really was incredible. Every detail had been considered, planned and styled to perfection. Everything matched, flowed or complimented something else. The day ran swiftly and smoothly, which made for a super chilled day full of good food, good music and happy memories. Here’s just a small peep at how it went.
