It’s safe to say we’ve shot our fair share of weddings at Gaynes park. It’s one of our local wedding venues and we seem to spend most of our winter months shooting there! If you’ve ever visited the Gaynes Park website, you may have even already see some of our work. So when Sarah & Rob got in touch with us about their wedding at Gaynes park we were overjoyed to be shooting a summer wedding there! Something we’ve only ever done once before, for Mark & Gary. We were also thrilled because Sarah & Rob came to us as a referral from one of our very special previous couples, Lucy & James. We shared our own wedding year with Lucy & James and we loved them….and the bun of course!
The pre wedding shoot
We met with Sarah & Rob for the first time a while back for their pre wedding engagement shoot. If you missed that, you can find a few photos from that session here. We had such a fantastic evening with them both that we left with no doubt in our minds that the wedding was going to be amazing. And we weren’t wrong. It just so happens that when Sarah & Rob set their date way back when, they inadvertently chose what would turn out to be one of the hottest days of the year so far. And that’s saying something, bearing in mind this crazy hot heatwave we’ve had this summer. Heat aside, you couldn’t have asked for a better day. Everyone was so, so happy and this meant that there was a fantastic atmosphere all day. Helped along i’m sure by the wonderful DJ Terry Lewis.
One of the stand out things for me were the beautiful blooms that were tastefully incorporated into almost every element of the day. From the bridesmaids flower crowns, to the table decorations and accent flowers throughout the venue. Luke & Lottie florists did a brilliant job! Sarah & Rob had thought of everything and they had chosen so many gorgeous, unique and personal details to make their day truly unique. Each element of their day worked seamlessly with the next. Gaynes park, as beautiful as it is, really shone that day and I can’t wait to share it with you! It’s been a tough choice narrowing down their 1300ish photos for this blog, but here are just a few of our personal favourites. We cannot wait to see their wedding film by our friends Unique Visuals too!
